Better Menus Initiative

The Problem

It is no surprise to anyone paying attention that we are experiencing a food-related health crisis. More children suffer from obesity, Type II Diabetes and lack of focus in the classroom. Many adults suffer from health-related problems such as cardiovascular disease, Type II Diabetes, certain cancers, kidney disease and even side-effects from medication.

What we eat can play a key role in our ability to live healthier, energetic lives, and without mental and physical stress caused by poor health, medication and surgery.

The Solution

Most of us recognize that institutions (schools, healthcare facilities, assisted-living facilities, etc.) can improve their menus to incorporate more fruits, vegetables, whole grains and legumes. In additon, more health practitioners today realize that plant sources are rich in a variety of nutrients and fiber that can promote better health. We partner with concerned parents, chefs, cooks and food service leaders, who are part of a growing movement, who are committed to a healthier and more sustainable food system by improving their menus.

What We Offer

Through our Better Menus Initiative, we will partner with you and offer advocacy and consulting to improving your menu selection.
